Projects
Following a transformative multidisciplinary residency at Vermont Studio Center in 2018, Andrew's artistic practice has expanded beyond essay and poetry to explore multimedia, visual, and installation art. These are a few of his recent projects.
In the Presence of an Absence
This multimedia installation is on view at Vulpes Bastille in Kansas City, Missouri from May 2nd to May 23rd with an opening reception 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd. Private viewings available by appointment.
Closure Is Not Justice
This multimedia installation was on view at Thornhill Gallery in 2024 and at Vulpes Bastille in 2023.
Thresholds
Thresholds is a text-and-image based screen print collaboration between Andrew Johnson and ceramic artist Elaine Buss during their shared time as studio residents at Charlotte Street in 2023.
